PM carrying out ‘polls campaign in the name of relief’: Noman

BNP Vice Chairman Abdullah Al-Noman today blamed “Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for carrying out election campaign in the name of distributing relief materials among flood victims”.

“The flood-hit people are being deprived of support while the prime minister is seeking vote for Awami League. It is unfortunate for the nation,” Noman said while addressing a press conference at the party’s Nayapaltan central office in Dhaka.

He also accused the ruling party men of “distributing relief materials among their followers depriving common people” in the flood hit areas.

The BNP leader claimed that his party has distributed relief in 27 flood-affected districts, including the northern region.

BNP will start distributing agro-inputs including seeds and healthcare support among the flood-affected farmers from Monday, he added.
