BNP was denied to hold a rally in Dhaka because a chaos was feared in their purpose, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said today.
“If police think there will be chaos and the law and order situation might deteriorate on a specific day, they don’t allow it,” the minister said, our Gazipur correspondent reports.
The minister was replying to a question regarding the issue that why the police do not allow any meeting in Dhaka citing reasons of public suffering.
“The prohibition does not mean that the BNP will never hold any meeting. They will get another day instead to hold the rally,” Minister Khan said while talking to reporters after attending a function organised by Jahangir Alam Education Foundation at the Shaheed Barkat Stadium in Gazipur.
