NSU organises webinar on quality of teaching materials and strategies
The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of North South University (NSU) has organised a webinar titled "Instructional Planning: Quality of Teaching Materials and Strategies".
The virtual discussion was held on Saturday, September 26, with the primary objective to find ways in which the quality of teaching materials can be improved and effective strategies that can be developed, according to a press release of NSU issued today.
The one-and-half-hour long session was participated by notable faculty members of NSU. The webinar began with a welcome address by Prof Dr Nazmun Nahar, director of IQAC at NSU.
Prof Dr Nuraihan Mat Daud from International Islamic University, Malaysia (IIUM) was present as the facilitator during the discussion.
In her speech, Dr Nuraihan highlighted the set of programme standards developed at IIUM, learning outcomes of each programme, curriculum structure, pedagogical approaches, the suggested forms of assessment for a language programme, and various types of teaching and learning platforms that are followed at IIUM.
There was also an open discussion session at the end of the webinar where all the participants joined in.
NSU's IQAC plans to hold similar webinars in future.
