A Dhaka court today directed police to publish an advertisement in two Bangla national dailies asking sacked army major Syed Ziaul Haq to surrender before it by February 11 in the case filed over the killing of blogger Niladri Chattopadhyay Niloy in August 2015.
Metropolitan Magistrate Dhiman Chandra Mondol passed the order after receipt of the reports on execution of arrest warrants and property attachment.
On August 7, 2015, blogger Niloy was hacked to death by a group of assailants at his rented flat on the fourth floor of a multistorey building in Goran.
Later, the victim's wife Asha Moni filed the murder case with Khilgaon Police Station against four miscreants.
