Gold is one of Akshay Kumar's most anticipated films of this year, where the Bollywood superstar portrays the character of Tapan Das, an aspiring assistant manager who had been safeguarding his dream of India playing hockey as an independent nation. The storyline revolves around the life of Balbir Singh, one of the members of the 1948 Olympic medal winning Indian hockey team. The movie was released on August 15.

Mile 22

Mark Wahlberg stars in Mile 22 as a dexterous CIA officer, assigned to escort a top-ranked police personnel who possesses some sensitive and secret information that might be vital for the safety of their countrymen. Co-starring with Wahlberg in the film is Ronda Rousey, the acclaimed WWE and MMA superstar. In her own words, she plays “the tactical shooting badass of the team”. Ronda previously appeared on similar other action movies like Furious 7 and The Expendables 3.  The movie has been released on August 17.

Operation Finale

The storyline follows a series of thrilling events in the 1960s, when some Jewish Nazi hunters set out on the run to capture one former SS officer named Adolf Eichmann. The group consisting of members from Mossad and security agency Shin Bet, led by the brave officer Peter Malkin, installs a raid-troop behind Eichmann, who was previously reported to be dead after Germany's collapse in WW2. As reports indicate, the German officer had been hiding in the suburbs of Argentina, and the rat-chase ultimately proceeds, only to see some unexpected turns ahead.

The Nun

The upcoming gothic horror is allegedly the prequel of the Conjuring series. The plot stirs up with the suicide of a young nun, followed by a priest and a novitiate's investigation on the ominous matters in the subdued alleys of Romania. Together the seekers confront some of the most terrorizing incidents of their lives, with their nerve and faith put to ultimate pressure-test. The movie will hit the theatres on September 7.

Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi

Sequel to the 2016 hit Happy Bhag Jayegi, this time Bollywood's upcoming rom-com Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi features the glamorous Sonakshi Sinha in the role of Harpreet "Happy" Kaur. But Diana Penty is still on the cast list, who tweeted: “Turns out I'm not the only 'Happy' around, there's one more on the run! Lace up @sonakshisinha, let's get this started #HappyPhirrBhagJayegi - 24th August @ErosNow @cypplOfficial” earlier. However, this time Abhay Deol will not be seen sharing the screen with the diva duo. The movie has been released on August 24.
