DSCC mayor Taposh urges city dwellers to complete animal sacrifice by today
Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh requested city dwellers to complete their animal sacrifice by today.
Addressing a view exchanging meeting with journalists at Nagar Bhaban the DSCC mayor said they are urging people to complete it by today so that they can give one day leave to the garbage management workers who are working round the clock since the night of July 20.
Requesting city dwellers Taposh said if anyone fails to complete their animal sacrifice by today then they will have to dump their garbage in nearby secondary transfer station by themselves by putting it in a sack.
He requested city dwellers to collect their bags and to give them to garbage cleaners.
The mayor said 30 percent waste is usually generated on the second day of Eid and they will clean it in ten hours.
Urging the seasonal rawhide traders not to dump their rawhides into drains mayor said they are watching some traders are dumping their unsold rawhides besides the drain which will block the drains.
Mayor said they have cleaned 8000 tonnes waste till 12:00 noon today.
