6 colleges show-caused for overcharging students

The Dhaka Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has recently issued show-cause notices to six educational institutions, including Monipur High School and College in the capital, following allegations of charging additional fees from students.
The notices, signed by Prof Abu Taleb Md Moazzem Hossain, the college inspector of the Dhaka board, asked why the authority will not cancel these institutions' approval for higher secondary level.
The institutions were asked to respond within seven working days.
The other educational institutions are Shaheed Police Smrity College, Green Field School and College, Chetona Model Academy, Banophool Adibashi Green Heart College, and SOS Hermann Gmeiner College Dhaka.
The notices were issued between May 28-30, after these institutions were found to be charging extra fees from students ignoring the policy for admission in private schools, secondary schools, lower secondary schools, and combined primary level institutions.
