Senior Division football from Dec 31
Professional league side Arambagh Krira Sangha will take on Sunrise Krira Chakra in the opening match of the Senior Division Football League on the last day of 2008.
The opener of the once top competition of the country, which resumes after two years, will kick off at the Bangabandhu National Stadium at 3pm.
The 12 teams of former Dhaka First Division League and the promotees will compete for six super league spots after a round robin league.
The champions and runners-up, provided they fulfil conditions of the Bangladesh Football Federation, will be considered for promotion to the B. League or the professional football league of the country.
Arambagh are the only B. League club playing in the competition.
The teams: Arambagh, Badda Jagarani, Victoria, Wanderers, Youngmen's, Dipali, Mohakhali, Wari, Agrani Bank, Purbachal, City Club, Jatrabari and Sunrise.
