Major (retd) Sinha murder: three accused give confessional statements
Three accused -- Nurul Amin, Nizam Uddin and Ayas Uddin –- gave their confessional statements before a court in a case filed over the murder of Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan.
Judge Tamanna Farah of Senior Judicial Magistrate Court-4 in Cox's Bazar recorded their statements under section 164 of code of criminal procedure for around five hours since 10:00am, Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police of Rab told reporters.
The three accused were mentioned as witnesses in two other cases filed by police in connection with the killing.
They were placed on a three-day remand yesterday and were produced before the court for their confessional statement today.
Earlier two other accused -- former inspector Liaqat Ali and former sub-inspector Nandadulal Rakshit -- of Baharchhara Police Investigation Centre gave their confessional statement before the court.
Apart from the two, three members -- assistant sub-inspector Md Shahjahan and constables Razib and Md Abdullah -- of Armed Police Battalion (APBn) gave their statements before the same court.
