Citizens under Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) would get free dengue test at 52 health complexes under the city corporation, DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam said today.
“We will serve dengue virus diagnosis kits at 52 health complexes, including five maternal complexes under the city corporation, on Sunday and people can get the free services from Monday,” said Mayor Atiqul Islam.
He was speaking at a view exchanging meeting with heads of educational institutions and scout leaders at Mirpur Girls Ideal School and College auditorium.
Chief Coordinator for Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Affairs in the Prime Minister’s Office and President of Bangladesh Scouts Abul Kalam Azad said, “Teachers are very influential, so they can create awareness among their students to clean their homes and educational institutes to prevent dengue”.
Senior secretary of Primary and Mass Education M Sohrab Hossain, Secretary Akram Hossain, Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Ministry Asadul Islam, Deputy Commissioner Abu Saleh Mohammad Ferdous Khan, NCD Information Commissioner Suraiya Khatun, were present, among others.
