Seventy-three dengue patients were hospitalised in 24 hours till 8:00am yesterday of whom 13 were from outside Dhaka, according to Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

With this, the total number rose to 27,078 this year. Of them, 4,166 cases were reported outside Dhaka.

Of the total cases, 3,423 were reported this month while 5,458 in October, 7,841 in September, 7,698 in August, 2,286 in July, 272 in June and 43 in May, according to DGHS data.

So far, 98 people have died of dengue this year. All of them died throughout July, August, September, October and November. Twelve people have died in July, 34 in August, 23 in September, 22 in October and seven in November.
