1 dies of dengue, 128 hospitalised in 24 hours

One dengue patient died while 128 more were admitted to different hospitals in the 24 hours till 8:00am today (August 16, 2022), according to the Directorate General of Health Services.

With the death in Dhaka, the number of dengue deaths rose to 17, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Of the total deaths this year, seven were in Dhaka while 10 in Cox's Bazar. With the new cases, the total number of dengue patients rose to 3,983.

Among the patients, 424 are still undergoing treatment of which 63 from outside Dhaka. A total of 3542 patients have been released from hospitals, 592 from outside Dhaka.
