4 Covid deaths in 24 hours, current positivity rate 10.10%

Four people died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country is currently 29,262 and the death rate stands at 1.46 percent.

At least 446 new Covid-19 cases were recorded during this period.

The current positivity rate is 10.10 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.76 percent.

With the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 20,01,345, added the release.

A total of 4,415 samples were tested across the country during this period.

At least 1,434 patients have recovered from Covid-19 within this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,34,693 and the recovery rate at 96.67 percent, said the release.

Of the deceased, three were male and one was female. Of them, one was under 10 years old and the rest were between 21-60 years old, added the release.
