They are making good love in Croatia, Lovren jokes about talent pool

Apparently, the secret to Croatia’s golden generation was all too simple. The love making from Croatian couples have simply been better than most other countries, at least that is how defender Dejan Lovren explained it away.

Croatia were able to surpass their previous achievement of reaching the semifinals (1998) of the coveted competition after Mario Manzukic scored late in extra time to hand them a famous victory over England and ensured a final berth.

Mandzukic himself called it a ‘miracle’ and said: "This is a miracle. Only great teams can be as brave as we were and fight back from a goal down against teams like England," Mandzukic said.

It is an astonishing feat for a country of just 4.1 million to make it to the finals of the World Cup and to do so against a big nation like England, coming back from a goal down was indeed a miracle.

Liverpool defender cheekily said that it has something to do with the parents across the country.

"I would say we have good mothers and fathers, they are making good love I would say," he joked.

France, who beat Belgium in their semi-final, have a population 16 times that of Croatia, and Lovren has rather eloquently summed up his country's tumultuous history.

“We went through a lot of hard times,” the defender explained.
