Rain likely in Dhaka, some other districts during Eid vacation

There could be relief from the ongoing severe heatwave during the Eid vacations as there is a possibility of rain in at least four districts, including Dhaka, on April 21 and 22.

Bazlur Rashid, meteorologist at the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, told The Daily Star today that there is likely to be rainfall in Dhaka, Sylhet, Mymensingh and Chattogram, as well as some other districts on those days.

Sylhet has already seen some relief from the scorching heat yesterday as it rained in the district after weeks yesterday.

Before the rain in Sylhet, there was no rainfall in the country since April 7, Bazlur Rashid said.
