9 petrol, CNG pumps fined in Ctg

Several mobile courts in Chattogram today (August 9, 2022) fined nine petrol pumps Tk 1,60,000 for different types of irregularities.

Three executive magistrates led by Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mominur Rahman conducted mobile courts in different areas of the city from 3pm to 7pm and fined nine filling stations Tk 1,60,000 for different irregularities, tempering in weight scale and for not having valid documents, reports our Chattogram staff correspondent.

Umar Faruk, assistant commissioner (Land) and executive magistrate of Kattali Circle conducted drives at Gate No-2 and Chandgaon areas and fined Khan & Brothers Tk 10,000, Fossil Petrol Pump Tk 10,000, Karnaphuli Filling Station Tk 20,000, and Mir Filing Station Tk 10,000.

On the other hand, Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Chandgaon Circle and Executive Magistrate Masud Rana conducted drives at Nasirabad and Prabartak areas in the city and fined Alhajj Faiz Ahmed and Sons Tk 10,000, and Badsha Mia Filling Station Tk 10,000.

Executive Magistrate Plabon Kumar Biswas conducted drives at Haqqani Tiger Pass, DT Road, Pahartali and Akbarshah areas and fined Refuelling Station-1 Tk 50,000, and Noor-e-Madina CNG Filling Station Tk 40,000.

DC Mominur said mobile courts were conducted at different filling stations in the city today and fined for various irregularities on the basis of complaints for selling fuel oil at a high price than the fixed price, tempering weight scale and for not having licences.

Such drives will continue in future, he added.
