Shakib Khan is more committed and focused than ever: Jaya Ahsan

Just recently her film "Jaya aar Sharmin" hit theatres, and now Jaya Ahsan is taking preparations for her upcoming Eid release "Taandob", directed by Raihan Rafi. The film features Dhallywood's biggest star, Shakib Khan, in the lead role.

This afternoon, Jaya Ahsan shared a poster of "Taandob" on her Facebook page. The poster presents a fresh look at both Jaya Ahsan and Shakib Khan.

Speaking to The Daily Star about the poster, Jaya Ahsan said, "Raihan Rafi has been doing some truly impressive work. Audiences are embracing his films. He is a talented and hardworking director. I enjoyed working under his direction."

She added, "In 'Taandob', Raihan Rafi has introduced some surprises that viewers will likely be thrilled to see upon release. This film has a combination of great story, strong performances, and quality direction; thus, I am confident that the audience will be amazed."

"Taandob" also marks the return of Jaya Ahsan and Shakib Khan to the silver screen as co-stars after 12 years. They had previously worked together in the 2013 film "Purno Doirgho Prem Kahini".

Regarding her experience working with Shakib Khan, Jaya shared, "Shakib Khan is a major star in our industry. I must say, he's doing exceptionally well. Although we shared screen previously, this time while working on 'Taandob', I noticed he has become even more dedicated and serious about his craft."

She continued, "Shakib Khan is presenting himself in a new light in 'Taandob'. I've also taken on a role which the audience will appreciate."

About the film itself, Jaya Ahsan said, "Many talented artistes are a part of this project. Afzal Hossain bhai is a cast member, for instance, along with many others. Everyone has delivered strong performances. I am hopeful that audiences will call it a very good film."
