Mithila celebrates birthday with daughter’s homemade cake
Popular actress Rafiath Rashid Mithila celebrated her birthday today with heartfelt simplicity, receiving the most special gift from her daughter- a homemade cake.
Known for her versatile performances across television, OTT platforms, and cinema in both Bangladesh and Kolkata, Mithila recently won acclaim for her roles in "Jole Jwole Tara" and the web-series " Myself Allen Swapan 2". She also earned praise last year for her performance in the film "Kajol Rekha".

On her birthday, Mithila spent the entire day at work. "I've been in the office all day, but people have been showering me with wishes. It feels nice to be remembered," she told The Daily Star.
When asked about birthday plans, the actress said, "I didn't make any. Work comes first. The excitement isn't the same as childhood anymore. But I'll go out for dinner later with my mother and daughter."
Although her mother wanted to organise something special, Mithila politely declined. However, her daughter surprised her by baking a cake. "She knows exactly what kind of cake I like. It meant a lot," Mithila said with a smile.
Her husband, Indian filmmaker Srijit Mukherji, also called to wish her a happy birthday. Meanwhile, friends, fans, and well-wishers flooded her social media with messages and love. "It feels good to be loved like this. Even if I forget the day, someone always reminds me," she said.
While Mithila no longer celebrates her birthday on a grand scale, she fondly remembers childhood celebrations. "My parents used to host big parties. I was the eldest daughter, and the day was always full of joy."
Currently, Mithila is not involved in any new films or OTT projects but is serving as a judge on a TV show and dubbing a Korean drama. "I don't take on too much work, I try to be selective," she explained.
Reflecting on the success of "Allen Swapan 2", she added, "The response has been great. People really appreciated my performance."
