With the upcoming gangster drama "Chengiz," starring Tollywood actor Jeet, Bengali cinema is now ready to follow the lead of the south Indian film industries and join the pan-Indian bandwagon. The actor has already made a big announcement, revealing that the movie will be the first Bengali film to have a simultaneous release in Hindi.

Jeet took to Twitter to reveal the recent development, along with a new poster for the film.

The post reads, "We are happy to announce that #CHENGIZ will be the first Bengali film to ever have a simultaneous Hindi release."

With his most recent film, "Raavan," fans have been eagerly anticipating this action movie because it will reintroduce Jeet as his typical action-hero persona.

Chengiz is set in the 1970s to the mid-1990s and is centered on Calcutta's underworld. It follows the titular character's journey through the underworld.

The film, directed by Rajesh Ganguly, also stars Shataf Figar, Susmita Chatterjee, and Rohit Bose Roy in supporting roles. The film was co-written by Neeraj Pandey and Rajesh.

It is set for an Eid release on April 21 this year.
