Chanchal Chowdhury takes home Best Actor award

National Film Award-winning actor, Chanchal Chowdhury took home the Best Actor (Male) award at the Blender's Choice-The Daily Star OTT & Digital Content Awards 2021. The actor won the award for his stellar performance in the Hoichoi web-series "Taqdeer".

Also nominated in the category were Fazlur Rahman Babu for his performance in "Khachar Bhitor Ochin Pakhi"; Intekhab Dinar for "Dwikhandito"—from the Chorki anthology series "Unoloukik"; Monoj Kumar Pramanik for "Nishiddho Bashor" and Siam Ahmed for his role in "Morichika".

Chanchal Chowdhury began his acting career as a theatre actor. He then went on to establish a place for himself on the silver screen and in television. In recent times, the actor has been the talk of the town for his performances in the web-series "Karagar" and the film "Hawa".

The actor was presented the award by Zahida Ispahani, Director at Ispahani Group; Minister of Commerce Tipu Munshi, MP, and eminent thespian Mamunur Rashid.
