Sabina Yasmin to perform in ‘Anandamela’

Legendary singer Sabina Yasmin is set to appear on Bangladesh Television's (BTV) flagship Eid magazine show "Anandamela". Despite recurring health concerns, the iconic artiste continues to perform to the best of her ability.
According to BTV sources, Sabina Yasmin will take part in the show's recording on May 28 at the broadcaster's in-house auditorium.
BTV's "Anandamela" has long been a festive staple, drawing in audiences with its vibrant mix of celebrity appearances, performances, and engaging skits.
This year, alongside Sabina Yasmin, the programme will feature several other popular artistes. The line-up includes a dance segment, comic sketches, and a musical performance by renowned band Miles.
Notable film stars including Shakib Khan, Puja Cherry, and Dighi are also slated to appear on the show, which will be hosted by Intekhab Dinar and Nusrat Imrose Tisha.
The one-hour programme is being jointly produced by Shahriar Hasan, Hasan Riad, and Mamun Mahmud, and will air on Eid night.
Speaking to the media, producer Mamun Mahmud said, "Like every year, this year's 'Anandamela' will be vibrant and colourful. The biggest highlight of this edition is Sabina Yasmin. We are working hard to meet audience expectations."
After a year-long hiatus due to illness, Sabina Yasmin made her return to the stage this January, although she collapsed mid-performance. She then took another brief break from music.
However, on May 17, she returned once more to perform at the "8th Bangladesh Festival" at the Toronto Pavilion in Canada, where she was honoured with a special tribute.
