Directorate of Registration collects Tk 530 crore as revenue

The Directorate of Registration has collected Tk 530 crore as revenue through conducting registrations of total 2,47,780 deeds during the period of coronavirus pandemic between May 31 and June 30.

Inspector general of registration (IGR) Shahidul Alarm Jhinuk sent a letter to the law ministry on Thursday (July 16) to this effect, saying that the sub registry offices across the country have completed the registrations of the deeds strictly following the health guidelines and collected Tk 529.81 crore as revenue since May 31 to June 30.

He also said in the letter that 22 officials and staff members under the Directorate of Registration have been infected with Covid-19 and among them 13 have recovered and one died from the infection.
