BNP has no organisational strength to appoint polling agents: Taposh

Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, Awami League’s mayoral candidate for Dhaka South City Corporation election expressed hope that Dhaka residents will cast their votes in favor of the “boat” symbol to help ensure a developed city.

He said this after casting his vote at Doctor Maleka University College in the city’s Dhanmondi area around 8:45am.

Describing his voting experience, Taposh said “casting vote using the EVM (electronic voting machine) is very easy.”

Replying to a query, the former lawmaker said, “BNP has no organisational strength to appoint polling agents in the voting centres. But they are now blaming us”.

He also said voting is going on peacefully and he did not get any allegations of irregularities till now.
