Woman found murdered
Police recovered the throat-slit body of a woman from Jagannathpur upazila in Sunamganj district on Monday. The deceased was identified as Farida Begum, 30, wife of Alam, caretaker at UK expatriate Sayed Ashkir Mia's house in Sayedpur Pashchimpara Lambahati village in the upazila. He hailed from Palgaon village in Mohanganj upazila of Netrakona district. Locals said Alam along his wife Farida had been working at the house as a caretaker for long. On Monday, as locals found their house gate locked and no one responded from inside, they informed police. Later, the law enforces rushed to the spot and recovered the body after breaking open the house gate. They sent the body to Sunamganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, said Officer-In-Charge of Jagannathpur Police Station Khan Mohammad Jakir.
