Medical assistant with respiratory problems dies in Chandpur
A medical assistant with fever and respiratory problems died last night in Chandpur.
The 59-year-old man, who worked in the emergency ward of Matlab South Upazila Health Complex, breathed his last at his residence at Guakhola in Chandpur town around 10:30pm, said Dr M Sakhawat Ullah, civil surgeon of Chandpur, today.

The man was being treated at his residence as he felt sick 10 days earlier and was suffering from fever and respiratory problem, said Dr Sujauddoula Rubel, residential medical officer (RMO) of Chandpur Sadar Hospital.
The patient went to the Sadar hospital on May 24 and health officials collected his samples for coronavirus testing, said the doctor, adding that they are yet to receive the test results.
The house of the deceased has been declared under lockdown, added Dr Rubel.
