Govt offices to remain open Saturday

Government offices will remain open on Saturday next as the public servants will have to compensate the one-day additional holiday they had enjoyed ahead of Eid -ul-Azha on September 11.

"All the government offices will remain open on Saturday (Sept 24)," said a handout issued today.

It said the Public Administration Ministry in a notification on September 5 announced the one-day additional holiday for September 11 enabling the public servants to enjoy a non-stop 6-day Eid vacation from September 11 to 15.

Eid -ul-Azha, the second largest religious festival of the Muslims, was celebrated in the country on September 13.
