Girl rescued in unconscious state
Police rescued a female student in an unconscious state, with her hands and legs tied, from a roadside bush near SM Sultan Complex in Kurigram area of Narail town on Saturday night.
The 23-year-old victim, also a third-year student of Accounting Department at Narail Government Victoria College and a resident of Chanchuri union under Kalia upazila of the district, is now undergoing treatment Narail Sadar Hospital the same night.
After gaining her consciousness yesterday morning, the girl told police that she boarded on a rickshaw-van from Rupganj area around 12:00pm on Saturday to go home.
Later, all she remembered is someone touched a handkerchief to her face and she became senseless, Officer in Charge of Sadar Police Station Illias Hossain said.
The girl's father filed a case with Sadar Police Station in this connection accusing some unidentified people the same night.
