Form nat'l commission for trying Bangabandhu killers: JS body
A parliamentary body today recommended formation of a national commission to hold trial of those involved in the brutal killing of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and 17 of his family members on August 15, 1975.
The parliamentary standing committee on law came up with the recommendation at a meeting at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.
Ruling Awami League MP Abdul Matin Khasru presided over the meeting.
The meeting was attended by committee members and law minister Anisul Haque, lawmakers--Mostafizur Rahman, Shamsul Haque Tuku, Shahiduzzaman Sarkar, Shamim Haider Patwari and Gloria Jharna Sarkar.
