Filling the void left by Mahbubey Alam will be difficult: PM
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today said that it would be very difficult to fill the void created after Attorney General Mahbubey Alam's demise.
"His death is a great loss for the country, it would be tough to fill the void left by him," she said.
The prime minister said this while adopting a condolence motion at the regular weekly cabinet meeting, joining from her official residence Gono Bhaban virtually.
She said that his wisdom, talents and knowledge were essential for the country.
"He used to consider everything judiciously and with a cool head; he solved many complex cases properly," she said.
Sheikh Hasina said that as the chief law officer of the country, Mahbubey Alam worked with great success.
"It is a great loss for us and the country," she said.
