A team of Roads and Highways Department (RHD) have been conducting a drive to evict illegal structures on both sides of the Dhaka-Aricha highway in Savar for the second day today.
The drive is taking place from Aminbazar to Nabinagar ahead of the Victory Day on December 16, our Savar correspondent reports quoting Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman Faruki, executive magistrate and estate and law officer of RHD, Dhaka.
At least a thousand illegal structures were demolished yesterday, reports our Savar correspondent.

Meanwhile, a group of workers of Pakeeja factory in Pakeeja area on the Dhaka-Aricha Highway blocked vehicle movement on the road after an altercation between them and the RHD authorities.
