8th-grade students’ results to be made per schools’ evaluation

The annual results of the students of 8th-grade for the academic year will be based on the evaluation of their respective educational institutions, according to a release of the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board of Dhaka issued today.

The decision came following the government's move to cancel this year's Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic situation.

The release, undersigned by Exam Controller Prof SM Amirul Islam of the Dhaka board, referred to a letter of the education ministry issued yesterday to this end.

The educational institutions will be provided instructions to this end soon, the release added.
