KCC polls: BNP candidate Monju wants fresh voting at 101 centres

BNP mayoral candidate Nazrul Islam Monju has demanded re-election at 101 polling centres in Khulna City Corporation (KCC) election bringing allegation of irregularities.

“I want re-election as massive irregularities like vote rigging took place at the 101 centres,” Monju told The Daily Star tonight in his post polls reaction.

He also said the election commission should arrange fresh election in the polling centres taking the allegation of vote rigging into account.

He said he will come up with a formal reaction over the election results around 11:00am tomorrow.

The election began from 8:00am and went on through 4:00pm. The polling officers started counting votes soon after the election ended.
