Janata Bank senior officer dies with Covid-19 in Bogura

A senior officer of Janata Bank's Soptopati Branch in Bogura died of Covid-19 today.

Anisul Haque, 57, died around 6:00pm at TMSS Medical College Hospital in the district town, Md Abdur Rahmim Rubel, a hospital spokesperson, told our Bogura correspondent.

He confirmed the death was from the coronavirus.

Anisul, a resident of Chaklokman area of town, had tested Covid-19 positive on June 25.

Foyzul Haque, a younger brother of Anisul, said his brother's only initial symptom was a cough.

"After he tested positive, we admitted him to a different hospital in Bogura and Dhaka, took him to the ICU in a hospital in Dhaka on June 30. He was on life support, but his condition had not been improving. Then, we brought back him to Bogura," he said.
