Dr Amran Kabir Chowdhury, professor of Dhaka University's biochemistry and molecular biology department, has been appointed as the new vice-chancellor of Comilla University for the next four years.

The education ministry yesterday issued a notice signed by its Deputy Secretary Habibur Rahman in this regard.
