Woman found dead in Ctg
Police recovered the body of a woman from her rented house at port city’s Jhaotola area yesterday morning.
The deceased is Rosy Akhter (20), said police, adding that she was a third-grade employee of Port City International University.
Rosy and her husband Rezaul Karim (28), also a third-grade employee of the university, lived in a rented house at Jhaotola, said Pranab Chowdhury, officer-in-charge of Khulshi Police Station. The couple married in February this year.
“Rosy’s sister lived nearby,” said the OC. “When she went to Rosy’s house around 10am, she found her body on the floor. Rosy’s hands were tied and there were injury marks on her head and neck.”
The door was not locked, said the OC, quoting the victim’s sister, adding Rezaul has been missing since morning.
On information, police recovered the body, and sent it to Chattogram Medical College Hospital Morgue for autopsy, he said.
No case was filed till yesterday afternoon.
