Vistara starts flying Dhaka-Delhi route

Vistara Airlines, a joint venture of India's Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines, yesterday started operating regular flights between Dhaka and Delhi.
The India-based airlines will operate two weekly flights on the route.
To mark its maiden flight on the route, the airlines arranged a programme at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
Addressing the programme, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali called upon airlines authorities and passengers to ensure health guidelines are maintained while travelling by air.
The launching of Vistara's flights would make travelling a lot easier and comfortable for people from both countries, who usually travel for medical and commercial purposes, family visit, and tourism, he said.
Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Vikram Doraiswami; Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh Chairman Air Vice Marshal M Mafidur Rahman; Air Commodore Md Khalid Hossain and HSIA Director Group Captain Touhid-Ul Ahsan were also present at the programme.
