Shamsul Huq Chowdhury passes away

Shamsul Huq Chowdhury passed away on March 19 at the Bangladesh Specialized Hospital in the capital. He was 100 years old, and was suffering from old-age complications, says a press release. 

He left behind his wife, four sons, two daughters and grandchildren.

Chowdhury retired as a senior officer in 1991 from Karnaphuli Paper Mill Ltd, an enterprise of Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC).

He was laid to rest at his family graveyard at Chouddagram of Cumilla.

Chowdhury is the father of renowned architect Ziaul Huq Chowdhury, managing director at Architects Limited.
