The committee formed to investigate the incident of a woman's rape in Sylhet's Murari Chand College on September 25 has submitted its report to the High Court.
The three-member enquiry committee today placed the 176-page report through the HC's Registrar Md Golam Rabbani as per its September 29 directive, Deputy Attorney General Nawroz MR Chowdhury told The Daily Star.
After receiving the report, the HC bench of Justice Md Mozibur Rahman Miah and Justice Md Mohiuddin Shamim set November 1 for dealing with the issue.
However, DAG Nawroz did not say anything about the content of the report.
On September 29, the HC bench formed the committee headed by the judge of Nari O Shishu Nirjatan Tribunal of Sylhet to conduct an enquiry into the rape incident.
On that day, the HC directed the committee to record statements from all concerned of the incident if it feels necessary and submit the probe report to the court in 15 days.
