NSU remembers founding member MA Hashem

North South University (NSU) yesterday organised a virtual discussion session in memory of its recently-deceased founding member and former chairperson MA Hashem.

The programme featured a Khatam-ul-Quran and a discussion session, a press release said.

The programme was attended by members of NSU's board of trustees and all its employees.

 Former president of FBCCI and chairperson of NSU's board of trustees MA Kashem along with board members Azim Uddin Ahmed, Benajir Ahmed, Mohammed Shajahan, Rehana Rahman and Yasmin Kamal  were present as speakers.

Among others, son of MA Hashem Aziz Al Kaiser, also chairman of City Bank and Vice-Chairman, Partex Star Group; daughter-in-law Tabassum Kaiser, director, City Bank; and grandson Amman Al Kaiser were also present.

Prof Atiqul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of NSU, presided over the session.

A large number of parents and students also connected to the programme through live broadcast from NSU's Official Facebook Page, the press release added.
