Man’s throat-slit body found in capital

Police recovered body of a man from Dhaka's Badda area yesterday morning.

The deceased was identified -- through his fingerprint -- as Joynal Mia (40), hailing from Kishoreganj's Karimganj upazila.

Sub-inspector Harun-or-Rashid of Badda Police Station said locals informed police that a body was lying in a pool of blood on a plot at Block-E of Aftabnagar area.

On information, police recovered the body, which also bore stab marks in the abdomen.

A crime scene unit of CID collected his fingerprints and identified him.

Police sent the body to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital for autopsy, the SI added.

The official said they contacted Joynal's wife who said he was an auto-rickshaw driver and used to live in Rayerbazar.
