IUB signs MoU to enrich maritime, climate research

Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), Bangladesh Institute of Maritime Research and Development (BIMRAD) and International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) at IUB recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the university's campus. 

The objectives of this MoU would be to exchange information and materials across various fields in relation to maritime issues, climate change, etc, said a press release.

It will also focus on developing scientific and technical research projects in maritime and related sectors, and carrying out collaborative publications centring climate change and marine resources.

Prof Milan Pagon, vice chancellor (acting) of IUB; Rear Admiral (Retd) Kazi Sarwar Hossain, advisor at BIMRAD; and Dr Saleemul Huq, director at ICCCAD, singed the MoU on behalf of respective institutions.
