Dr Md Sabur Khan, chairman, Board of Trustees at Daffodil International University (DIU), has been elected the first vice president of Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) for 2021-2022, says a press release.

The announcement came on November 18 at the 14th general conference of AUAP hosted by Lyceum of the Philippines University, Batangas.

Dr Peter P Laurel was elected president of AUAP and took oath and Dr Hari Mohan Gupta, chancellor, Jagran Lake City University, India, was elected as the second vice president of AUAP. After two years, Dr Khan will lead AUAP as the 17th president for two more years till 2024, the release adds.

The conference was also addressed, among others, by Prof Dr Wichit Srisa, founder president of AUAP; and Dr Mohammad Nili Ahamadabadi, immediate past president of AUAP.
