‘Custodial death’ in Sylhet: another suspended constable arrested

Another suspended constable has been arrested in connection with the death of Rayhan Ahmed who was allegedly tortured in police custody.

Members of Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) arrested former constable Harunur Rashid from Sylhet Police Lines last night, our Sylhet correspondent reports quoting Muhammad Khaled-uz-Zaman, special superintendent of PBI in Sylhet.

The PBI will produce him before Sylhet court today, the official said.

On October 20, PBI arrested another suspended constable Titu Chandra Das in the case. Later a Sylhet court allowed five days remand for Titu.
