Chhatra Union demands immediate release of 7 leftist student leaders, abolishment of DSA

Leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra Union brought out a torch procession in the capital's Purana Paltan this evening demanding the immediate release of seven leftist student leaders who were arrested during a protest over the death of writer Mushtaq Ahmed.
The procession started at 6:30pm.
After the procession, they held a rally at Purana Paltan intersection. There they also demanded release of all those arrested under digital security act and to abolish the draconian digital security act.
Demanding justice and fair investigation into the death of writer Mushtaq, Foez Ullah, president of Chhatra Union Central Committee, termed the death a state-sponsored killing.
Around 70-80 leaders and activists took part in the protest.
