AHNA Chowdhury, an engineer, urban planner and former senior government official, died on November 11 at his Dhaka residence. He was 85, says a press release.

He is survived by his wife, a son and daughter-in-law, a grandson and granddaughter, and a host of relatives and admirers.

Special prayers will be offered today after Maghrib prayers at his residence.

He was a founding member and past president of Bangladesh Institute of Planners.
