Abrar Fahad Murder Case: Hearing on charge framing Sept 2
A Dhaka court yesterday set September 2 for hearing on the charge framing against 25 Buet students accused in Abrar Fahad murder case. Judge Abu Zafar Md Kamruzzaman of the Speedy Trial Tribunal-1 of Dhaka set the date.
Earlier, the tribunal set April 6 for hearing but it was not held as the regular activities of the court remained closed then due to coronavirus pandemic.
On October 7 last year, Abrar, a second-year student of Buet, was beaten to death by a group of Buet unit Chhatra League activists in a dormitory.
Abrar's father Barkatullah filed a murder case in this regard on October 7 with Chawkbazar Police Station.
Eight accused gave confessional statements before magistrates, narrating the horrifying torture, last year.
