66pc recovery rate among lower court personnel
The rate of recovery from Covid-19 infection among lower court personnel and staff is 66 percent, while there have been less then one percent fatal cases.
The recovery rate in the lower judiciary is eight percent higher than that of the national recovery rate and the death rate in this sector (lower courts) is 0.75 percent less than the national death rate, according to the information provided by the coronavirus monitoring desk under the law ministry.
It said a total of 73 lower court judges and 277 staff members have been infected with Covid-19 and among them 46 judges and 185 staff members have recovered till Saturday.
Currently, 27 judges and 102 employees are suffering from Covid-19. Of the infected judges, 25 are receiving treatment at their homes while two are receiving treatment at hospitals, law ministry sources said on Sunday.
Law Minister Anisul Huq has been observing and giving necessary directives to the ministry's monitoring desk, which assists infected judges and staffers by facilitating proper treatment.
Law Secretary Md Golam Sarwar reports to the minister periodically regarding this matter, according to sources.
