Today is the 17th death anniversary of Amina Mashiur Rahman, an eminent social worker.
To mark the occasion, various programmes have been chalked out, including a milad mahfil, Qurankhwani, and food distribution among disadvantaged people of Dhaka and her hometown in Dimla upazila of Nilphamari district.
Amina Mashiur Rahman was the first Women's Affairs Secretary of National Awami Party (Bhashani). She actively took part in various mass movements including 69's Mass Uprising.
She was the wife of late politician and senior minister Mashiur Rahman (Jadu Mia).
On the eve of her death anniversary, family members have requested prayers from all concerned, seeking salvation for her departed soul.
