Dhaka Wasa gets new chairman

Prof Md Habibur Rahman of the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) has been appointed as the chairman of Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (Wasa).

He joined the office yesterday, said a press release.

The post of chairman was vacant for around three years since M Rahmatullah resigned.

Prof Habibur is an eminent water expert and also served Buet as a pro vice-chancellor.
