Best Phones of mid-2019

This year has been all about the hole-punch camera setup, taking away the bezel and getting more screen real estate. The new Snapdragon 855 have made the bulk of the best smartphones of 2019 faster than ever and the newest camera setups really makes you wonder how far are we from hitting peak smartphone performance. With that, here are the best smartphones that have come out thus far in 2019.

Samsung Galaxy S10e

The S10e is the best option if you want your hands on Samsung’s latest device. The smaller battery and the lack of a telephoto lens make the S10e the less extravagant option but with the rest of the specs being pretty much the same as its big brothers makes Samsung’s “budget” option the friendlier purchase.

OnePlus have been consistent with their devices for as long as the company have been making them. If you’ve got the cash then this is the phone worth the splash.

The Mi 8 Lite is the best budget release of this year. And the phone’s spec list doesn’t scream top of the line either but what it does have is a dependable and long lasting battery, a processor good enough for PUBG and a camera that can take decent pictures.

Asus Zenfone 6

Display: 6.4” IPS LCD, 1080 x 2340 pixels

OS: Android 9.0 (Pie), ZenUI 6

Chipset:  Qualcomm SDM855 Snapdragon 855 (7 nm)

CPU: Octa-Core (1x2.84 GHz Kryo 485 & 3x2.41 GHz Kryo 485 & 4x1.78 GHz Kryo 485)

RAM: 8GB

The turning camera module of the Zenfone 6 turned some heads at launch. ZenUI 6 has also been received relatively well and with the latest Snapdragon 855 processor, a 5000 mAh battery and a similar price as that of the Mi 9, the Zenfone 6 might just be the “OnePlus killer” of this year.

Huawei P30 Pro

Despite the storm surrounding Huawei, the P30 Pro has been resiliently weathering it. No matter what the future holds for Huawei and its devices, it’s no question that the P30 Pro has been the best flagship of the year, with a top of the line camera setup and smooth performance throughout.
